Carolyn L. Dooley
TERRE HAUTE — Carolyn L. Dooley, 81, of Terre Haute, passed away at 3:35 a.m.
Sunday Morning, Aug. 29, 2010, at Meadows Manor North. She was born on May 23,
1929, in Madisonville, Ky., to Joseph Clayton and Julia Knight Clayton.
She was retired from the Bridal Cottage.
She is survived by one daughter, Terri Stott; one stepdaughter, Mary Kay Rednour; two
sisters, Marie Dodd and Thelma Mullins; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; two
great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She
was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Dooley; and 12 siblings.
Services are 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home, 4660 N.
Lafayette Ave., with Linda Dodd officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation is 11
a.m. until service time Thursday.

Agnes L. Havens
Agnes L. Havens, 87, of Terre Haute, passed away at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010,
at her residence. She was born on Sept. 4, 1922, to James Mathew Baker and Opal Day
Baker. She was retired from Columbia Records.
She is survived by one daughter, Sherry Rice; one son, James Marty Havens; one sister,
Mary Catherine Pastorius; five grandchildren, Jody, Dusty, and Aaron Havens, Kimberly
Rice Cavanagh, and Timothy Rice; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild;
and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James C. Havens; three sons,
Kim Ray Havens, Bruce Lee Havens, and Tracy Dean Havens; two sisters, Beatrice Jones
and Violet Webb; and one brother, Garland Baker.
Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home, 4660 N.
Lafayette Ave., with the Rev. David Boothe officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11
a.m. until services. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Shawn A. Biddle
Shawn A. Biddle, 45, loving father, husband, and best friend to many died tragically on
Sept. 2, 2010, from a tractor roll-over accident. He was born June 16, 1965, in Terre
Haute, to Vernon Paul Biddle Jr. and Shirlee Kramer Biddle.
His parents have preceded him in death. He was a member of the Operating Engineers
Union 841 and was employed at S & G Excavating at their Houseman Road/Davis Drive
location. He also was a member of Social Lodge 86 Free & Accepted Masons, and the
Zorah Shrine. For many years he had been active with the Wabash Valley Horseman’s
Association and will be fondly remembered for driving his team of mules.
He is survived by his wife, Christine (Dunkin) Biddle; his children, Brent Biddle and Cassie
Biddle; two brothers, Vernon Paul Biddle III and his wife Phyllis, and Scott Biddle and his
wife Trish. He also is survived by nieces and nephews, Samantha and Brooke Biddle,
Sydney, Ashley, and Nicholas Dunkin; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Terri and
Richard Dunkin; and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rich and Jaymi Dunkin.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85
E. Springhill Drive, with the Rev. Jeff Lee officiating. Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m.
Monday, and 12:30 p.m. until services Tuesday, in the funeral home. Burial will be at
Roselawn Memorial Park. Social Lodge 86 will present their memorial on Monday at 7 p.m.
Pallbearers are Paul Biddle, Scott Biddle, Dale Mullikin, Brian Rexrode, Jim Patterson and
Rich Dunkin. For those who choose memorial contributions may be made to either the
Wabash Valley Horseman’s Association or the charity of your choice. Envelopes will be

Ernest “Herb” Redman Jr.
TERRE HAUTE — Ernest “Herb” Redman Jr., 92, of Terre Haute, died Saturday, Sept. 4,
2010, at Davis Gardens Healthcare Facility. He was retired from the insurance department
of General Motors Corporation. Herb was born Oct. 12, 1917, in Fulton County, Ky., to
Ernest H. Redman Sr. and Iva Lee Redman.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Grace “Jerri” Roberts Redman of Terre Haute; a
son, Jeff Redman and his wife Barbara of Terre Haute; a daughter, Linda Lance of
Indianapolis; a brother, Robert Lee Redman and his wife Ann of Wetumpka, Ala.; a sister,
Helen Manier of Peoria, Ill.; five granddaughters, Lori Honer and her husband Gary, Beth
Hunley and her husband Tony, Vicki Cloney and her husband Robert, Sarah Redman and
Maggie Redman; seven great-grandchildren, Keegan, Xander and Liam Pierson, Mirin
and Kieran Cloney, and Ashlynn and Duncan Hunley; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Charles Redman, who died in
infancy.
Herb was a charter member of Memorial United Methodist Church, where he had served
as a Sunday school teacher and Sunday school superintendent, the chair of finance,
board of trustees and was a delegate to the conference for nine years. He also was a life
member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, a Kentucky Colonel, Boy Scout leader, a past
member of The American Heart Association, and a veteran of World War II, where he
spent three years as a warrant officer in the Army Supply Corps, serving in England,
Africa, Italy and France.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, in Memorial
United Methodist Church, 2701 Poplar St., with the Revs. Scott Johnson and Jill Howard
officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park, with military rites by VFW Post
972. Visitation is scheduled for today, Sept. 7, 2010, from 4 to 8 p.m., in the church.

Mildred Virginia (Kord) Deverick
Mildred Virginia (Kord) Deverick, 94, died Sept. 6, 2010, in Terre Haute. She was born in
Terre Haute, to Clarence J. Kord and Amy L. Kord, on April 13, 1916. She was a proud
resident of Terre Haute and lived her entire life here. Mildred married James William
Deverick on April 9, 1939, and they celebrated their 67th anniversary before his death.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Lucille Rhoades. She
graduated from Wiley High School, and was an active member of their Reunion
Committee. She also attended Thompson Elementary and Woodrow Wilson Jr. High
School.
She retired as church secretary from the former First United Methodist Church after 23 1⁄2
years of service. She was a lifetime member of First Church and was church pianist for 50
years prior to its closing in 2000. She also was a member of the Chancel Bell Choir for 15
years. She was currently a member of the Northside Community United Methodist Church,
where she was volunteer part-time pianist and Bell Choir member.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen (John) Perry of Terre Haute; grandchildren,
Kristen Perry and Scott Perry of Indianapolis; great-grandchildren, Ava and Nikolas Perry
of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, in Callahan &
Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street, with the Rev. Frank Oakman officiating. Burial
will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. today. In lieu of

Wanda I. Orndorff
Wanda I. Orndorff, 85, of West York, Ill., formerly of Terre Haute, Ind., passed away 1:33
p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, in the Casey Health Care Center at Casey, Ill. She retired
from Union Hospital, where she was employed from 1964 to 1998. She was born Dec. 30,
1924, in Terre Haute, the daughter of John Albert Kluesner and Lola Edna Wilkes
Kluesner. She was married to Arthur Leon Orndorff, who preceded her in death in 1970.
Surviving are a son, Lonnie Gene (Gertrude) Orndorff of Terre Haute; four grandchildren,
Arthur Leon (Rebecca) Orndorff of West York, Walter Thomas Orndorff, Lonnie Gene
Orndorff Jr., and Tonya Marie Orndorff, all of Terre Haute; a brother, Marion Leo “Jeep”
Kluesner of Houston; three sisters, Betty Wade of Indianapolis, Lola Moore and Pat
Church, both of Houston; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she
was preceded in death by four brothers, Joe Kluesner, Ralph Kluesner, Jim Kluesner and
John Kluesner; and three sisters, Lottie Nelson, Vivian Foust and Ellen Elrod.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be truly missed by those who
loved her so very much and those who will treasure her memories.
Services in honor of her life will be 1 p.m. EDT Friday, at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N.
13th St., Terre Haute, with Brother Justin Sweitzer officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until
service time Friday, at the funeral home. Visitation will also be 5 to 7 p.m. CDT today at
First Baptist Church, 110 N. York St., Martinsville, Ill. For those desiring, memorial

Opal I. McCullough
Opal I. McCullough, 74, of Terre Haute, passed away at 7:45 a.m. Sept. 10, 2010, in her
residence. She was born in St. Bernice, on Jan. 29, 1936, to Wallace and Hazel (Shuey)
Jordan. She was a 1954 graduate of St. Bernice High School and was a graduate of
Smart Appearance Beauty School in 1955. She was a licensed cosmetologist and
instructor for 38 years. Opal and James did marriage counseling and Christian missionary
work in Russia, Scotland, and Israel.
She was a faithful and loving wife to the Rev. James D. McCullough Sr., who survives, and
they were married on Feb. 25, 1955, in St. Bernice Christian Church; four sons, James
McCullough (Marcia) of Hillsdale, Dennis M. McCullough (Cathy) of Medina, Tenn., Darrell
B. McCullough of Terre Haute, and Dwayne E. McCullough of Evansville; one daughter,
Brenda Kaye Gayso (Joseph) of Terre Haute. There is one brother, David Jordan (Velma)
of South Bend; and one sister, Mary Jo Crane of Clinton. Her brothers and sisters that
preceded her in death, Evelyn Monce, Marjorie Eller, Barbara Young, Wilbur Jordan, and
Clyde Jordan. She has 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, on Monday at
1 p.m. with the Rev. Simeon Young Jr. officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to
services. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. For those who choose contributions
can be made to her memorial fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral homes.


Gary Lee Hendrickson
TERRE HAUTE — Gary Lee Hendrickson, 63, of Terre Haute, died Saturday, Sept. 11,
2010, at home. He was born Aug. 22, 1947, in St. Joseph, Mo., to Albert Henry
Hendrickson and Mabel Lucille Hendrickson.
Survivors include his wife, Sue; two daughters, Ginger Moore and husband Shawn of
Indianapolis, and Michelle Elble and husband Ben of Center Point, Texas; three sons,
Mitchell Hendrickson and wife Vanessa of Carmel, and Dean Blume and Chris Blume and
wife Janine, all of Chicago; two grandchildren, Joseph and Logan Elble, with two
grandchildren expected this fall; brother, Doyle Hendrickson and wife Katherine of
Casper, Wyo.; niece, Kelly Emery and husband Brent of Powell, Wyo.; and nephew, Jeff
Hendrickson and wife Viki of Battleground, Wash.
Gary was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He had an incredible love of God
and country. He found joy in each day of life. Gary was a member of Cross Lane
Community Church. He graduated with a bachelor of science in chemistry from Northwest
Missouri State University in Maryville, Mo., in 1969. He has been a dedicated employee of
Novelis since 1979. Gary also was an Eagle Scout.
Memorial services are 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, at DeBaun Funeral Home, 85
E. Springhill Drive, in Terre Haute, with Pastors Harold Throckmartin and Brett Wilson
officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010. In lieu of flowers,

Robert R. Herner
Robert R. Herner, 58, of Terre Haute, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, in Bethesda Gardens.
He was born April 21, 1952, in Terre Haute, to Olin M. Herner and Virginia R. Larr Herner.
Robert was a geologist in Phoenix. After a heart attack that led to a traumatic brain injury,
he returned to Terre Haute to enjoy life and care at Bethesda Gardens.
Survivors include two brothers, David Herner and his wife Jodie and Dr. Keith J. Herner,
both of Terre Haute; two nephews and one niece, Chris Herner, Cory Herner, and Kelly
Herner, all of Indianapolis; and a great-nephew, Griffin Herner of South Bend. He was
preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Stephen R. Herner in 2001.
Robert graduated from Gerstmeyer Tech High School and received his master’s degree
from Indiana State University. He was a talented artist and enjoyed sports, and the St.
Louis Cardinals. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Memorial Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, in Callahan &
Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street, with Pastor Scott Aselage of Knightsville
United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. There is no
visitation.

Margaret V. Penman
CLINTON — Margaret V. Penman, 84, of Clinton, and formerly of Terre Haute, died at 6:
05 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at the Waters of Clinton nursing home. She was born
Oct. 29, 1925, in Terre Haute, to Adam Gill and Alice Carmichael Gill. She had worked in
the pharmacy departments at Osco’s, Walgreen’s and Hook’s. She was preceded in
death by her husband, John G. Penman.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Newport of St. Charles, Mo., and Margaret (Dan)
Hollers of Clinton; grandchildren, John (Rhonda) Newport, Angela (John) Newell, Kaye
(Bill) Vaughan, Becky (Steve) Miller, Debbie (Matt) McFall; great-grandchildren, Daniel
Newport, Aaron Newport, Joshua Newport, Travis Newell and Tyler McFall; and several
nieces and nephews.
She was a member of American Legion Post 104 Ladies Auxiliary, District 6 American
Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and Order of Eastern Star,
all of Terre Haute.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Frist Funeral Home, 458 Blackman St., in Clinton, with
Bob Howard officiating. Entombment is at Roselawn Memorial Park in Terre Haute.
Visitation is 1 p.m. until services Thursday.

Sharon Kay Shannon
TERRE HAUTE — Sharon Kay Shannon, 68, died Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at Sellersburg
Health and Rehabilitation, in Sellersburg, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. She
was a native of Terre Haute, a longtime employee at the Vigo County Court House, and a
member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Albany. Sharon was preceded in death by
her husband of 35 years, Vernon R. Shannon; and her father, Earl Bealmear Sr.
Survivors include a son, Steven J. Shannon (Rose) of New Albany; a daughter, Laura
Ann Ranieri (Paul) of Palatine, Ill.; her mother, Norma Jean Piper of Terre Haute; a
brother, Earl Bealmear II (Jane) of Terre Haute; a sister, Cheryl Piper Wilson of Terre
Haute; grandchildren, Audrey and Claire Shannon, Joseph and Madeline Ranieri; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New
Albany, and 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mattox-Ryan Funeral Home, 602 S. 7th St., Terre
Haute. Her funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Terre
Haute, with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy may be

John S. Winklepleck
John S. Winklepleck, 94, of Terre Haute, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 7, 2010. He
was born Aug. 23, 1916, to Elmer Winklepleck and Christine Boore of Clay County. He
graduated from Brazil High School in 1934, and attended Purdue University. He was a
member of Masonic Lodge 541 in Brazil since 1936, a member of the Elks Lodge of
Brazil, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Brazil.
He married Helen Salin on Jan. 1, 1944, who preceded him death on Dec. 26, 2005. He
is survived by his one son, Steven and daughter-in-law Judy; and one grandson, John,
who reside in Terre Haute. He also had one brother, Richard that preceded him in death.
John also is survived by other extended family.
He was employed at the Continental Car-Na-Var for several years before joining the
Brazil Trust Company. He was at the bank for 17 years before taking a position as a
Federal Savings & Loan examiner. He later was hired as the president of Central Federal
Savings & Loan Association retiring in 1981. After retiring, he and his wife traveled to all
50 United States and to nine foreign countries.
His wishes were for cremation with no visitation or services and he will be laid to rest at
Roselawn Memorial Park who assisted with arrangements.
A special thank you goes out to the nurses, aids and entire staff at Meadows Manor East.
They have gone out of their way to make his almost two years of residency there very
nice for both him and his family.

Helen M Aue
TERRE HAUTE — Helen M Aue, 73, of Terre Haute, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, in ICCU
at Methodist Hospital, in Indianapolis. She was born Feb. 6, 1937, in Terre Haute, to
John Wessol and Mary Shesstock Wessol. She married Buck Aue on May 5, 1956. They
were married 54 years.
Helen retired in 1997 from PSI (Duke Energy) after 37 years of service, as a cashier
supervisor. She was a 1955 graduate of Otter Creek High School. Helen was a lifetime
member of GWRRA, and attended Terre Haute Bible Center. She enjoyed playing cards
with her friends and going to church. She also loved motorcycling.
She is survived by her husband; brother, Joe Wessol and wife Thelma of St. Louis;
sister, Elizabeth Fox of Muncie; several nieces and nephews; and good friends, Steve
and Becky Sharp, and Chuck and Nancy Ross. She was preceded in death by her
parents; brothers, Harry Wessol, John Wessol and Michael Wessol; and sister, Mary
Wessol.

Dorothy H. Bruner
TERRE HAUTE — Dorothy H. Bruner, 87, of Terre Haute, passed away at 5:45 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at Meadows Manor East Convalescent Center. Dorothy was
born in Holyoke, Mass., on July 8, 1923. She was a clerk at Columbia Records. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Paul Bruner, on June 2, 2005.
She is survived by two sons, David Bruner and wife Regina, and Gary Bruner and wife
Elizabeth; as well as three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Roselawn Chapel, with Pastor Dana Newhouse

Lois Jean "Bobble" Dowell
TERRE HAUTE — Lois Jean "Bobble" Dowell, 80, passed away at 5:01 p.m. Sunday,
Sept. 19, 2010, at Union Hospital. She was born Nov. 13, 1929, to Carl Fox and Mabel
Price Fox, in Collinsville, Ill. Lois had worked for her family business, J.J. Smith Flower
Shop and Gardens, and also at Quaker Maid. She was a member of Sacred Heart
Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, animals and especially spending time with her
family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Dowell, who passed away on
Sept. 22, 1984; and her sister, Irma Lee Atelski.
Lois is survived by two sons, Michael Dowell and his wife Debbie, and Pat Dowell and his
wife Paula, all of Terre Haute. Also surviving are the children whom she help raise, Keith
Nicoson, Jimmy Nicoson and Mary Ann Dumas, all of Terre Haute.; five grandchildren,
Joshua Michael Dowell, Erin Marie Dowell, Daniel Michael Dowell, Patrick Karl Dowell Jr.
and Michelle Lynn Dowell; one great-grandchild, Mattox William McGlaughlin; and several
nieces and nephews.
Services are Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, at 1 p.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2322 N.
13th St., with visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, at Greiner Funeral
Home, 2005 N. 13th St. Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Burial will be in

Leona E. Leslie
Leona E. Leslie, 91, of Terre Haute, passed away Sept. 20, 2010, in Union Hospital. Born
April 5, 1919, in Hoopston, Ill., she was the daughter of Lee Williams and Lena Bell
(Hardin) Williams. She married William A. Leslie, and he preceded her in death. Leona
enjoyed her family, gardening and camping.
Survivors include three sons, Ron Leslie and wife Sandra, Thomas Eugene Leslie, and
Timothy Dale Leslie, all of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Bradley Leslie and Andrew Leslie,
both of Louisville, Ky., Ronni Raynae Leslie of Eglin AFB, Fla., Laurielle Leslie of St.
Louis, Tasha Nicole Leslie of Las Vegas, Nev., and Jeremy Thomas Leslie of Tybee, Ga.;
great-grandchildren, William R. Leslie-Holt, Kyleigh N. Leslie-Holt, and Lena T.
Leslie-Holt, all of Eglin AFB, and Cloe Leslie of Las Vegas; a niece, Phyllis Taylor of
Terre Haute, and several other nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by
her parents; and two sons, Terry Leslie and Darrell Leslie.

Noah Lee Baker
Noah Lee Baker, two months old, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, in his
residence. He was born July 4, 2010, in Terre Haute, to Nicole Smith and Deondray
Baker.
He was preceded in death by great-grandmother, Peggy Trainor; and
great-grandfathers, Larry Smith and Robert Isabell.
Noah is survived by his parents, both of Terre Haute; one sister, Keyshia Baker and a
brother, Kamal Baker, both of Terre Haute; his maternal grandmother, Teresa Smith of
Terre Haute; and maternal grandfather, Matthew Smith and his wife Charlotte of Terre
Haute; paternal grandmother, Erica Jackson and her husband Bobbie of Terre Haute;
paternal grandfather, Corey Baker and his wife Brandy of Terre Haute;
great-grandmother, Rosetta Smith of Terre Haute; great-great-grandmother, Mildred
Thomas; great-grandmother, Shirely Shelton; great-grandfather, Pete Baker;
great-great-grandmother, Loucretia Brown; and great-great-grandfather, Roger Trainor,
all of Terre Haute. He also is survived by an uncle, Daniel Smith; several other aunts and
uncles; and one cousin, Lydia Snyder.

Robert T. Marshall
TERRE HAUTE — Robert T. Marshall, 87, of Terre Haute, died Sept. 26, 2010, after a
brief stay at Cobblestone Health Care Campus. He was born in Terre Haute, on Jan. 30,
1923, to Forrest and Eva (Jackson) Marshall. He was an electrician for the former
Pennsylvania Railroad and after retiring from there, he was a maintenence foreman at J.
I. Case. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy and had been active in his PT
Boat Reunions for several years.
His wife, Hilda (Ferree) Marshall, preceded him in death. His survivors are three
daughters, Sandra Thompson and her husband Jim of rural Bridgeton, Bobbi Wilson of
Philadelphia, and Cathy Girton and her husband Kevin of Harmony; his grandchildren,
Christine Bowman-Fleck and her husband Jim, and Ricky Potts; a stepgranddaughter,
Kerri James; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. He also has very special friends and
neighbors, Ann and Larry Johnson.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E.
Springhill Drive, with Scot Longyear officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct military rites. Friends may call today from 11 a.m.
until services. For those who choose, memorial contributions may be made to the
American Cancer Society or the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Indiana Chapter, 7301

Patricia A. Bailey
TERRE HAUTE — Patricia A. Bailey, 67, of Terre Haute, died Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, in
Union Hospital. She had been a claims representative for Columbia House. She was
born Nov. 9, 1942, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Kenneth Pugh and Elizabeth Young
Pugh. She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, James W. Bailey, in 2000.
Survivors include two daughters, Tami Meyers and her husband John of Terre Haute,
and Teresa Keep and her husband Jerrold of Clinton; a son, Keith Bailey and his wife
Jennifer of Evansville; a brother, Robert Shoemaker and his wife Carolyn of Marshall,
Ind.; eight grandchildren, Matthew Meyers, Katie Meyers, Becky Meyers, Jacob Keep,
Holli Bailey, Keith Bailey II, Morgan Bailey and Nathan Bailey; a sister-in-law, Linda
McGovern and her husband Art of California; two nieces, Angie and Sherry; and three
nephews, Bill, Gary and Troy. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son,
James W. Bailey, who died at birth; and a brother, William Shoemaker.
Patricia worked at Columbia House for 27 years, and was a past member of the North
Terre Haute Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. The main love of her life was her
family. Hobbies included doing crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m.. Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, in Callahan &
Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th St., with the Rev. Gene Walls officiating. Burial will
be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.

James Lewis Long-Darby
James Lewis Long-Darby, 19, of West Terre Haute, passed away at 9:35 p.m. Sunday,
Sept. 26, 2010, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Terre
Haute, on April 9, 1991, to Patricia Marie Long.
He is survived by his grandparents, James T. and Bertha A. Darby, and Morris Long and
Jill Schmid; his great-grandmother, Pauline Sartain; an uncle, Dennis Mount and wife
Ronda; an aunt, Denise Lynn Corbin; three cousins;, Tiffany Lynn Stone, Dustin Lee
Mount, and Zane M. Mount. He was preceded in death by his mother in 1992.
Funeral services will be at Callahan-DeBaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave., at
10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, with the Rev. Brett Wilson officiating. Burial is in
