Roselawn Memorial Park Garden of Tranquility

We are always striving to give our customers the best products and services available. This is why we are opening a
new upright monument section in the back of our park, The Garden of Tranquility. The excitement is building as the
surveyors get started in laying out our most beautiful section yet.
With winding walkways throughout the section and a feature area unlike any other, we are proud to offer this wonderful
new section to all of our customers. Whether you're just buying cemetery property or already own and want to
upgrade we can help you design your family plot in our new garden.
With many different areas in this new section it allows us to offer something for everyone's budget. With payments
starting as low as $25.00 a month and up to two years interest free financing, you can't afford not to protect your most
precious possession, your family...
Our Garden of Tranquility has similar but different decorating policies than the rest of the memorial park. Below are
our decorating policies for this new, wonderful section.

1.In order that all improvements are kept on a high standard and uniform, the Cemetery reserves the right to regulate the size, kind, and quality
of all memorials and other construction on any lot in the cemetery.
2.Each section within the Garden of Tranquility will have individual specifications as to what type of memorial or monument may be utilized in that
section. All memorials are to be constructed of granite or standard bronze.
3.Bronze or any other type of permanent vases separate from the monument or memorial will not be permitted in this section.
4.Government provided niche plates will not be permitted in this section.
5.The grave location must be engraved on the lower right hand corner of each base.
6.In the areas where monuments are permitted, one monument may be placed on a minimum of two graves and a maximum of 4 graves.
7.In the areas where monuments are permitted, one grass style bronze memorial that is 24”x12” with a base size of 28” x 16” x 4” in Bahama
Blue, Blue Pearl, Cats Eye Red, Gold Star, Kenoran Sage, Pacific Coral, Paradiso, Sapphire Brown, Tropical Green, Carnelian, Charcoal Gray,
Colonial Rose, Royal Mountain Red, Moonlight Gray, Royal Mahogany, Sunset Beige, and Sunset Red granite color may be placed on an
individuals grave at the foot or head of that grave dependent on the layout of that particular lot. A bronze Veteran’s grass style marker provided
by the government will also be permitted. Grass markers will not be permitted on the grave until the upright monument is set.
8.The name or inscription on each memorial must correspond with the name on record in the office of the Cemetery, and no changes shall be
made thereon except upon request of the proper parties and by permission of the Cemetery management.
9.In the areas where flush bronze markers are permitted, the dimensions permitted for a single grave marker are as follows: 24”x12” with a base
size of 28”x16”x4” or with the marker and vase to the side of the marker, the base size will be 34”x16”x4”. For side by side graves the dimensions
permitted are as follows: markers will be 44”x14” with a base that is 48”x18”x4” and if a vase is desired, it must be incorporated into the bronze
marker itself; 56”x16” with a base that is 60”x20”x4” and if a vase is desired, it must be incorporated into the bronze marker itself. For side by
side graves in which one or both bronze markers will be supplied by the government, the base required will be 54”x16”x4” and if a bronze vase is
desired then the base size will be 60”x16”x4”.
10.The base colors that will be permitted for the flush bronze markers in this section will be: Bahama Blue, Blue Pearl, Cats Eye Red, Gold Star,
Kenoran Sage, Pacific Coral, Paradiso, Sapphire Brown, Tropical Green, Carnelian, Charcoal Gray, Colonial Rose, Royal Mountain Red,
Moonlight Gray, Royal Mahogany, Sunset Beige, and Sunset Red.
11.Cemetery personnel shall install foundations for all monuments and memorials in this section and will set all memorials. Monuments must be
set by the monument dealer. All foundation and setting fees must be paid in advance. Order, with payment, should be supplied to the Cemetery
at least fifteen (15) days prior to date foundation is desired.
12.All land, memorials and monuments must be paid in full before the time of installation.
13.The monument company must supply the Superintendent with the monument's dimensions, date to be installed, type of monument and any
other pertinent information at least two weeks prior to such installation.
14.All monuments must have concrete foundations.
15.The location and position in which a memorial, bench, or monument is to be placed or erected shall be subject to approval and under the
discretion of the Cemetery.
16.The length and width of all footings must be four inches greater than the length and width dimensions of the base of the monument to be
erected upon it.
17.No monument will be allowed to be delivered to the cemetery until the foundation is installed and ready to receive the monument.
18.Bases of all monuments shall be finished true and level so as to fit on the foundations without wedging or spawls.
19.All monuments must have 3 or 5 sides polished. (Exceptions will be made in Traditional Lots due to the possible uniqueness of the monument
design.)
20.All bases of monuments must have a polished top with all 4 sides being rockedged or a polished top with a 1” or 2” polished margin around
sides.
21.Granite benches are permitted only if they are installed on a foundation in the space reserved for a monument. Benches will be considered a
monument and will be subject to all rules applying to monuments.
22.Nothing shall be affixed to or placed upon any monument, memorial or bench.
23.No memorial or monument shall be removed from its foundation, except by authorized Cemetery personnel, unless permission is granted by
the Cemetery management and upon written authority from the lot owner.
24.The Cemetery will perform all resetting of foundations. Cost of such services will be billed to the lot owner at the Cemetery's discretion.
25.Due to regulations and restrictions pertaining to the types and sizes of memorials and monuments permitted, it is suggested that property
owners and/or monument and memorial dealers consult with the Cemetery before orders are placed. Rules governing memorials and
monuments are strictly adhered to and all that do not conform to the Rules and Regulations in sections in which they are placed will be removed.
26.If defects and/or deficiencies become apparent during installation, the work will be stopped and the defects/deficiencies corrected. If
corrections cannot be made, or if the lot owner does not correct them within a reasonable time, the entire structure will be removed by Roselawn’
s management at the lot owner’s expense.
27.The following describes specific lots within the monument sections of the Garden of Tranquility. These lots each have specifications that
need to be adhered to. You may obtain information on the type of lot and its specifications for a monument through contacting the Cemetery
office.
Traditional Lots
- The maximum monument size for a traditional lot is unlimited but its specifications must be submitted by mail, fax, or email to the Cemetery
management and approved in writing by Cemetery management.
- The minimum monument size for a traditional lot is: 48x08x26.
- The following granite colors will be permitted: Premium Gray, Economical Gray, Premium Brown, Premium Black, Imperial Red, American Blue,
North American Pink, Morning Rose, Rustic Mahogany. Any other color will not be permitted without specific written permission from Roselawn’s
General Manager.
- Only monuments that are similar to Roselawn’s “semi-custom” or “custom” plan are allowed in the Traditional lots.
Select Lots
- The maximum monument size for a select lot is: 54x08x26.
- The minimum monument size for a select lot is: 36x08x24.
- The following granite colors will be permitted: Premium Gray, Economical Gray, Premium Brown, Premium Black, Imperial Red, American Blue,
North American Pink, Morning Rose, Rustic Mahogany. Any other color will not be permitted without specific written permission from Roselawn’s
General Manager.
- Only monuments that are similar to Roselawn’s “semi-custom” plan are allowed in the Select lots.
Basic Lots
- The maximum monument size for a basic lot is: 42x08x26.
- The minimum monument size for a basic lot is: 36x08x24.
- The following granite colors will be permitted: Premium Gray, Economical Gray, Premium Brown, and Premium Black.
- Only monuments that are similar to Roselawn’s “stock” plan are allowed in the basic sections.
28.The Cemetery decorating and floral policy for graves must be adhered to in this section except where differences have been stated in this
document that is specific to the Garden of Tranquility.
Deliveries
29.No deliveries of construction materials, etc. will be accepted on Saturday, Sunday, holidays or days preceding a holiday.
30.Heavy trucking or other vehicular traffic shall be refused entrance to the cemetery when, in the opinion of the superintendent, injury to roads
and driveways might result.
Construction Season
31.Roselawn Cemetery reserves the right to halt all construction work between November 1 and April 15. Foundations will not be built during
freezing weather
Workers
32.All workers employed on projects within the cemetery are subject to the control and direction of the superintendent.
33.Workers must not place materials on adjoining lots or leave materials on the ground longer than is absolutely necessary. All earth and
rubbish accumulated during lot improvements must be removed under the direction of the superintendent at the expense of the lot owner. No
unnecessary delay in work is permitted. All work must be completed and rubbish removed before noon on Saturday and prior to any day
preceding a holiday, except when special permission is obtained from the superintendent. No monuments may be set after 3:30 p.m.
Damage
34.Any damage to adjoining lots or other property in the cemetery caused by construction work on monuments, memorials, benches, vases, and
grounds is the responsibility of the lot owner and party who actually did damage.
35.Vandalism or damage caused by forces beyond the control of Roselawn Cemetery is the responsibility of the individual lot owner.
Rules and Regulations
36.The Cemetery reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice to any owners, to adopt new Rules and Regulations or to amend,
modify, or repeal any section, paragraph, or sentence of these Rules and Regulations.
37.It is not the responsibility of Roselawn to notify dealers of any changes in rules and regulations.
